Warfarin Interaction

CRITICAL WARNING: Vitamin K2 is a direct antagonist to Vitamin K Antagonists (VKA) like Warfarin (Coumadin).

  • Warfarin works by inhibiting the recycling of Vitamin K to prevent clotting. Supplementing with K2 bypasses this blockade and can completely reverse the anticoagulant effect, leading to a risk of stroke or thrombosis.
